We are the Beaverton Library Foundation!

Mission Statement

The mission of the Beaverton Library Foundation is to support the library by providing funds to enhance the library’s programs and services

About the Foundation

Incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization in June of 1994, The Beaverton Library Foundation seeks the support of the Beaverton community, both businesses and individuals, to assist in our efforts to help fund new and ongoing programs in the Beaverton City Library.

Towards this end the Foundation has engaged the Beaverton community in various activities since its inception such as the buy-a-book campaign, fund raising dinners featuring local authors as speakers, and various solicitations through correspondence with local businesses and individuals.

We support these important library programs:

  • Annual Summer Reading Program
  • Pave the Way Campaign
  • Buy-A-Book Campaigns
  • Adaptive technology for visually impaired; closed circuit print enlarger and computer work-station
  • The Homework Center, designed to help children in grades 6-12
  • Expansion of the fiction and non-fiction book collection for young adults
  • Quality collection of large print books for the visully impaired
  • Expansion of the Literacy Collection used primarily for those learning English as a second language
